Tare Zameen Foundation is a Non-profit organization that works for the upliftment of underprivileged children, women and divyang in matters of health, education and empowerment. We have been serving people in several ways since its inception.
India has made rapid strides in the health sector since independence. However, various eye opening data from NFHS clearly indicate that access to healthcare still remains a challenge.
Health care in India is a three-tier system - the Government funded sector, the private sector, and Non Government Organizations (NGO). The Government funded health sector is the largest, providing care to two thirds of the population, but their facilities are usually overcrowded and they have limited resources. Private health facilities are commonly located in urban areas and provide care to the relatively affluent. NGOs provide standard health care at acceptable cost and have contributed significantly to bridging the wide gap between government and private sectors.
NGOs can play an important role in cancer control in any country and their activities should be complementary to governmental health care programmes, but unfortunately NGOs are not involved in National Cancer Control Plan (NCCP). Oncology facilities in most of the developing nations are either in overcrowded, under-resourced government funded institutes or within a private system that has western standards but is beyond what the common person can afford. NGOs can help bridge the gap in cancer care.
As earlier discussed, the challenges posed by HIV/AIDS are enormous. These challenges transcend individuals and cut across social as well as economic boundaries. The poor as well as economically well-to-do persons are affected by the impacts of HIV/AIDS.
These challenges have attracted different development practitioners, including NGOs. NGOs have come to be dominant players in the fight against HIV/AIDS in India. They are currently involved in the control, care and sensitisation programmes related to HIV/AIDS. In India , lots Of NGOs have included fighting HIV/AIDS on the list of their activities. As such, Community HIV/AIDS Initiative programme, has gained ground on NGOs agenda. Because of the initiative a number of NGOs and CBOs have been formed strategically to address the challenges of HIV/AID.

We have the only approach to continue the chain of awareness creation by acting as a starting point of the chain and it is expected from the beneficiaries to spread the effective information in order to achieve the maximum benefits for the entire society. After all we the humans have to take the responsibility to fight against these serious health diseases, which do not have an affordable treatment for the worker class and middle class people. We are very thankful to the students, who came forward and supported our mission of awareness creation on cancer and HIV/AIDS program and we are expecting from them to protect themselves and also help others to protect from these precarious diseases. We have also discussed on how to handle and behave with the HIV/AIDS patients to eradicate their social exclusion and boost their life as of normal beings to empower the morals and confidence of such victims. There is an appeal to every being, to please serve the people and support the needy ones.
Health is wealth, take care of yourself.
