Women's education in India

As long as she thinks for a man,
Nobody objects to a women thinking.

From day to night, from dusk to dawn, she works! Works! and works! and at last, we conclude that a woman doesn't work; she is just a housewife. We, as Indians, say, "we the land of customs and traditions."

Does your custom or tradition teach you to disrespect her? Sometimes, it makes us feel that our society is divided into two halves: the upper and lower classes. No, it's not about the caste classes, the reserved ones, and the general ones we have but about the men and women.

Whenever a woman goes anywhere, she always carries her male counterpart, "whose daughter, whose wife, whose mother you are," as if she doesn't have her own identity. "You're a woman; you're not supposed to do this; you're not supposed to do that" these words are always not spoken by men, but yes, you're going to hear that from your loving grandma and mom.

We talk about Women Empowerment to give equal rights to women. Yes! They got equality in many sectors. Now, our army, education departments, and many more provide matching seats to women. As we discuss medical science, doctors cure disease by medicating and eliminating the root cause. To cure the tumor, you have to remove it.

Now let's come to builders - To increase the building's strength, the power of the pillars is increased. Let's leave these topics, come here close to nature, our mother Earth, trees you see every day, everywhere and every time near you, do notice them. For an intense shoot, beautiful flowers, you need the best holding capacity and strength of roots. We can apply these examples to our society. What's the root cause of women's backwardness? It's only the women—your grandma's creation of hindrance. Not only on the large stage, visit, and see the real sacrifices women make.

Just take a small example of 'menstruation.' Women have periods; at this stage, she is impure, right! Yes, these are women-only words, and to the contrary, man doesn't have periods, they always remain pure. It's just a natural thing that every woman has to face every month. Periods are regarded well, to have babies or as grandma says 'Ghar ka Chirag.' If a woman doesn't secure periods, she is mentally tortured and stressed as, according to our well-known societies, it hurts the honor or respect of her parents and in-laws.

On the other hand, if she secures periods, she is regarded as impure at that phase. "Oh, Dear!! You can't touch God's idols, sculptures." "You are not allowed to visit the temple," Why is this so?? As you say, God has created everyone. Did he ask you not to enter his temple or touch his belongings? No more criticism on menstruation. If it is evil, there must be a boon. Now, we have states like Tamil Nadu or southern India where when girls step into periods or menarche; they celebrate it with a lot of joy and an organization of big get-to-gathers. Good.
Yeah!! It's too much. We as women neither want a superior position nor the inferior one.

We want to be treated as humans. Please don't force us to follow such rituals, which make us inferior or superior to men. Biologically, we all are regarded as humans, The Homo sapiens.
The topic that should be considered is 'crime against women' that is increasing at a fast pace. So let's discuss our capital city 'Delhi,' or you may call it as 'The rape capital of India.' The well known 'Nirbhaya case' was the real mirror of the image of the capital city. Men believe women belong to them as property.

And then a big thanks to our society who then blames women for such brutal crimes. In the wake of several severe rape attacks in the capital city, debates held in other cities revealed that some men believed women dressed provocatively deserved to get raped; many of the correspondents stated women incited men to rape them. Now, not only rapes, our country gives us a wide variety of crimes against women such as acid attacks, dowry killings, honor killings, and the forced prostitution of young girls.

"Girls! Girls! Keep this in mind, cover your face and live, and never dare to refuse a man's marriage proposal because then you have to suffer from such heinous crimes." "Never disobey or make your husband angry because he has the whole right over you" These are the lines told as a shitty suggestion by some women. As they have bored the pains, these women make their daughters learn the same.

When we talk about crimes against women, how can we forget about 'female infanticide' or 'female foeticide' the crime to be held before she is born. Due to female foeticide and infanticide, our country is facing significant mismanagement of the sex ratio.

The sex ratio is particularly bad in the states of Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir. The most known factor, Dowry tradition, has been one of the main reasons for sex-selective abortions and female infanticides in our country India.

In Indian society, women are always traditionally excluded from political and family-related decisions. Notwithstanding a large number of work women do daily to support their families, their opinions are rarely considered, and their rights are limited. The only way through which this feminism will gain height is Education.

Educate men and women with utter enthusiasm to learn their rights and freedom to express. It is good to see the percentage of female literacy rate according to the last census held in 2011, in the country is 65.46%. In previous decades, the situation in India has dramatically improved.

An increasing number of Indian women are entering and presenting our country at international levels. Now, Indian society recognizes many women's rights, like political involvement, allowance of family, and setting up a business.

Nevertheless, in rural areas, poverty and lack of information represent real barriers to women's independence and empowerment. Still, several factors are responsible for low female literacy rates like gender-based inequality, social discrimination, economic exploitation, and the big one that should be considered, 'occupation of girl child in domestic chores.

Therefore, programs aimed at advancing human rights, literacy, and microfinance are necessary to restore Indian women to the place they deserve and open doors to a better future.

The matter is to respect women but do respect men too. We need equalization because until and unless the man and woman, these two wheels of a cart of society are unequal, there will be no further positive development of our community and India, our country, as always will be called a 'developing country' with no scope of further development.
