The Torture

Torture

Torture is an action to hurt someone severely or pressurize them to do something that they don't want to. This is a common term generally related to punishment, suffering, pain, problems, and words like this. Torture is done physically and psychologically too, which leaves a negative impact on the sufferer and people close to them.

The method of torture can be understood by dividing it into two parts:

1) Physical torture: This type of suffering is done physically, or we can say people, or the sufferer is harmed and abused physically either by bone-breaking, oxygen deprivation, rat torture, rape, sexual assault, starvation, sleep deprivation, etc.

2) Psychological torture: It is also regarded as mental torture in which the sufferer suffers the mental pressure primarily this can be done through sensory deprivation, sensory assault, isolation, degradation, etc.

For the torture, the Indian constitution has a law against it and the one who is caught doing that can be sent to jail for 7 or 3 years under section 330 and 348. As torture isn't considered the right way to treat a person, so it's illegal, it also affects the physical and mental health of the sufferers and people around them. The effects of torture are:

1) Anxiety

2) Depression

3) Long term psychological problems

4) Trauma

5) Scars

6) Neurological damage

7) Pains

8) Sexual problems

9) Headaches

10) Body pains

Such effects on the sufferer make life more difficult to live; that is why torture is considered negative stuff which one needs to avoid while practising on someone or getting oneself tortured. If anything like that happens then, a person should report it to the higher authority.
