With the increase in society's modernization, people are becoming more sensitized towards women because of the hardships they face. People are raising their voices against the crimes women face, such as domestic violence, sexual harassment, and dowry-related torture. This sensitization of the society towards such issues helps the suppressed and tortured women overcome their problems and raise their voice against their suppressors.
Various laws have also been passed by the government to protect women in such situations, but some women are also misusing these rights to harass men in each way they can. Such women generate fraudulent cases against men they have married or are working with for their monetary gains and other benefits.
One of the most common examples of male harassment that has been observed is fraudulent marriages. In such cases, women marry in a well to do family and, after some time, impose wrongful cases on her husband and his family for personal monetary gains.
This generates overall stress on that person and his family due to regular court visits and harassment faced by them. In the end, most families agree to the demands of that woman to get a divorce leading to economic and mental trauma.
According to various studies, it has been shown that men face harassment in various forms, such as sexual harassment at workplaces, domestic violence, fraudulent marriages, and many more.
Most of the men who face such harassment cannot come out and speak up about what they are facing because of the thinking of society that a man cannot experience such issues. Even if he stands up to fight against all the wrong that the woman has done to him, most of the time ends up giving all that the woman demands and still faces lifelong exploitation by society.
In today's era, equality between genders is important. Women have faced a lot since the older times and are still facing the social evils present in society, but one should not neglect that a man can also face such issues.
To deal with such issues, gender-neutral laws were set up in various countries. Even after the development of such laws, a man who has faced such problems is seen as a bad character who destroys his whole life.
So the main change that needs to be developed is the change in the thinking of society. There is a constant mindset that if a man slaps a woman, he is wrong, and if a woman slaps a man, then it is also considered that the man would have done something wrong. A man is not always wrong, a woman can also be, not all, but some who try to use innocent men just for their benefit are wrong.
A gender neutralized society is thereby required, which would consider the harassment faced by each gender equally. A modernized society can thus only be created when all the genders are given equal rights and are considered equal in all respects.
