As we all know, education plays a vital role in a person’s life. Nowadays, knowledge adds stress in life as well. A load of education has increased the pile so much that the students are going through psychological tensions and face problems while dealing with real-life troubles. 


The education pattern that has been prevailing in the past decade, the government is focussing more on the quantity of education rather than the quality of the same. Heavy academic workloads and the feeling that you are always racing to meet another

deadline can be daunting. Parental pressure on children to shine in their studies and perform well in extracurricular activities is at a remarkable high. 


Student Suicides in India

The compelling need to excel in studies, often prone to abuse, does injure morale and is one of the most significant causes of stress, failure, and breakdown. The race amongst parents to prove that their child is an all-rounder makes them end up as victims rather than victorious. 


Lack of support is a significant reason for stress amongst students; lack of interaction with parents and teachers keeps on building on doubts and confusion that a child might have, eventually led to anxiety. There is a lot that a child is expected to achieve, but due to lack of proper support, they feel lost at sea and are left directionless.



Prolonged stress has resulted in various physical and psychological disorders. Multiple cases have been seen where the child has tried to take his/her own life out of anxiety. 


Suicide and Depression Thoughts

There are various ways and means that the students can adopt to relieve stress; exercising daily can be one of the best remedies. This small change will go a long way and guarantees an environment of sustainable happiness. 


Meditation and breathing exercises can also be incorporated to relieve stress during exams, and students avoid panicking. Taking rest and sleep is the key to reducing stress and anxiety. Music is therapeutic, whether played in pressure or otherwise. Listening to music can reap many benefits and can subside stress certainly. The way one talks with oneself make a big difference in the attitude.


Hence optimism in life is essential. It is imperative to note that parents play a crucial role in developing their child and the recent data show that children are being admitted to coaching institutions and are being mentally pressurized to excel. This destructive behavior leads to children being competitive and forgetting heir childhood when they are meant to play outside. This is hence an unwanted maturity.
